When you feel anxious, you have absolutely no motivation to study, and you are desperate to find peace in the midst of your exams I pray that you find yourself here, because this is for YOU!
Friend, you are already half way there! Getting the opportunity to write an exam is such a privilege, and I know you won’t waste what has been given to you!
These are some amazing bible verses that I found on a wonderful blog (link below), that have helped me get through exams.
1. I don’t have to be afraid of exams:
My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Have no fear of sudden disaster
or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked,
for the Lord will be at your side
and will keep your foot from being snared.
2. I will be faithful to the academic calling that God has placed on my life.
“Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them. To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. The man who had received five bags of gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five bags more…
“After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. The man who had received five bags of gold brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more.’
“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.
3. God grants me favour in the eyes of my examiners.
Joseph found favor in Potiphar’s eyes and became his attendant. Potiphar put him in charge of his household, and he entrusted to his care everything he owned.
The Lord was with him; he showed him kindness and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden.
Now God had caused the official to show favor and compassion to Daniel… Daniel 1:9
4. God increases my ability to study.
To these four young men God gave knowledge and understanding of all kinds of literature and learning.
For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
Bless all his skills, Lord, and be pleased with the work of his hands.
He has filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills.
5. I will be confident, regardless of my human ability, because my confidence is in God.
We are confident, I say…we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it.
2 Corinthians 5:8-9
For you have been my hope, Sovereign Lord, my confidence since my youth.
With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall.
6. God renews my energy levels.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
7. God can do miracles, exams are nothing to Him.
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”
I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
“I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?
8. God knows best. If his will is for me to fail, it’s because he has his reasons. And I know one day, whether on heaven or on earth, I will realise his good reasons.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord.
Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.
